Founded by Anar Joshi, LOTA started as a passion project, just a way to share the artists and designers who inspire her. It is now an advisory and consultancy, built on the idea that the same few names get recommended over and over, and that there is far more worth buying than the market shows you.

What’s in a Name?
The lota (“low-tah”) is a water vessel found all over India, used daily and passed down through generations. It’s simple, functional, and deeply meaningful. Designers Ray and Charles Eames even considered it a symbol of perfect design. Like the lota, the art we celebrate is part of everyday life, a connection to history, and a way forward.
