Fall is in the air. From fashion week content to the first turning leaves to crisper mornings to pumpkin spice lattes and dare I say even a few holiday ads. It is time to cozy into what is absolutely the best season of the year.
Last week I shared South Asian fall shows to catch, all of which I would absolutely buy. This week, I widened the aperture. Here are six works on my list, all priced at $10,000 or less (btw, looking for more affordable works? right this way for under $500 picks).

First up are two selections from Feia, an LA gallery that opened its permanent space earlier this year. I’ve loved seeing their presentations on the fair circuit, including at Felix and NADA, and was excited to finally spend time at the gallery and with their co-founder Thomas Pilnik.
Feia means “ugly” in Portuguese, but as the gallery explains, the word can also express “curiosity, intrigue, excitement, novelty, beauty, bemusement, and everything in between”. That range is absolutely reflected in its program. The curatorial point of view is so clear - whimsical and joyful, with art that is serious in practice without feeling overly serious. After walking through the two shows that opened last week, it’s no surprise that my first two picks come from Feia.
